When Gail Posner, daughter of corporate takeover artist, Victor Posner, died this March, her will provided that her pet chihuahua, Conchita, had the right to live in her seven-bedroom, $8.3 million mansion. To ensure her four-legged friend would live in comfort, a $3 million trust fund was established to provide for all of Conchita’s future, canine needs. Meanwhile, Ms. Posner’s only living child was bequeathed a “paltry” $1 million. The child subsequently filed a lawsuit contesting the validity of the will.

An Indianapolis man is suing a Speedway convenience store for refusing to sell him a lottery ticket shortly before the sales cutoff. The man alleged that he filled out a play slip and left it with the store as evidence of the numbers he would have chosen. Sure enough, his numbers were drawn later that night for the $11.5 million jackpot.
Speedway has denied any responsibility.

Congratulations to the Butler Bulldogs who advanced to last night’s NCAA Championship! In the end, the Bulldogs came up a little short, losing to Duke 61-59, but they no doubt picked up many more “Dawg” fans along the way.
Congratulations are also in order for Judge Brown, this year’s MEP office pool champion! Whitney Bullard came in second by winning the tie breaker. She correctly picked the EXACT total final score (120) for the championship game!
